WW3000. ULN units, REMAKE

Neither me or liked the old full red uniforms The ULN troops had, so i decited to Remake them in a more, realistic look. With the exeption of the political police. 

Conscripts: 
Men and women that has been drafted by The ULN to fight in their red army, these light infantry is a mixture of semi-trained soldiers and militia. Most conscript are equipped with poor quality weapons, there are even some who are not given weapons but are instead expected to get one themselfs. Though their poor training and equippement gives them a disadvantage, they are very easy to replace and plentyfull in numbers. 
almost all soldiers of all classes, even officers and elite troops originally started their career's as conscripts. 

Red guard: 
The red guard are the backbone of the ULN armed forces, Usually veterans drafted from the conscripts, there are several steps one must go through to become a member of the guard, To be a red guard you must be a devoted communust and swear an oath of never retreating or surrendering. constantly feed with propaganda of their own superiority, morale among the red guard is very high. 
Red guard recruits also go through a rough and hard training period, combine the hard training with the fanatism from the constant propaganda and the recruits have become a well trained and well disiplined fighting force. 
Red guard are equipped with fairly good equippement and can easely be recognised with their dark red body armour. 
The red guard are usually used as shock troops, light infantry that rushes and overuns their enemies. 

Heavy infantry: 
If the red guard are the backbone of the ULN, the Heavy infantry are the muscles. these elite troops shares the same hard training as their red guard comerades, but unlike the red guard, the heavy infantry are more independant and free thinking. 
The heavy infrantry usually fight in small, independant groups that carry out certain missions and strategic objectives in battle, often fighting on their own initiative. they aslo help in providing fire support for their conscript and red guard comerades. 
Like the red guard, the heavy infantry's new recruits are drafted from the conscripts and it is very common that Red guard recruits that either lack the fanatism or are unaffected by the propaganda are sent to the heavy infantry instead. 

Political police: 
The best of the best and the pride of the ULN, the political police is a small group of supersoldiers that has only recently been used in combat. 
consisting of a handful of handpicked soldiers from the red guard, the political police was originally raised to maintain order and disipline within the ULN forces. 
Dispite their training and state of the art equippement, the political police wasn't used in combat but was mostly used as a propaganda tool and in recent years they became the personal guards for the ever more corrupt commissar core.
I wasn't until 2384 the political police were used in combat during the battle of Miami. their involvement proved crucial for the ULN victory against the skulls. since then, the political police are now regularly used in combat.
