World war 3000. World map

By 2385, 40 years after the war of resources began. most of the world has been laid to ruins by the many weapons that destroyed the earth. Most of the landmass on earth has turned into something the humans call badlands. These wastelands are populated by mutated creatures and many dangers caused by the weapons used in the war. they are almost free of human activity with exceptions of fortified cities that can be found here and there. One major faction even calls the badlands their home, the prometheans, as they've learned how to survive out there and are actually using the badlands as shields from enemy factions. if you wish to survive just one day in the badlands, make sure that you're well armed and have some form of vehicle.
The majority of the surviving human population can be found at coastlines and larger islands.

North america: The north american continent is almost completely dominated by major factions, there are the heinrich and commies in the east, the gma at the west and the prometheans scattered across the american badlands. though there are plenty of minor factions, most of them has no real influence and are not larger than a small city or settlement. Unlike the rest of the world. A lot more people actually lives more inland as the coastline is a constant battlefield between the factions, creating a larger culture of bandits and nomads.   

Europe: probably the most intensive continent, it is dominated by major factions in the north and minor factions in the south although that might soon change as the prometheans are starting to gain a foothold in Europe via Corsica, Sardinia and turkey.

As for the skulls, though losing London to the Heinrich. they've been able to drive the Heinrich out of Germany and into the ruins of Poland and Belarus 

Africa: the continent that suffered the worst, Africa has the smallest human population and are mainly dominated by minor faction with the expedition of the heinrich in south africa and Madagaskar. 90% of all humans in Africa lives near the coastlines as the rest of the continent with a few exceptions here and there has become uninhabitable for humans 

South america: For many years, South america had no major factions but just a big mishmash of tiny factions fighting for scrap, that is until the ULN and Heinrich arrived and annexed the north part of the continent in only a few years, taking out the numerous small factions one by one, For now the invasions have been halted as the commies and Heinrich are now fighting each other for dominance of South america.

Asia: Despite Asia's size and surviving population, there are just 2 major factions fighting for control there. The new sun and the Heinrich who in recent time has had an increased success thanks to it's superior air force. But the fight for Asia is far from being finished and currently there's no ending in sight.

Oceania: Suffering a similar fate as Africa, Oceania also has a meager human population with Minor factions dominating the few habitable lands. But like all other continents, the Heinrich has a foothold here too, having colonies east of Australia and the northern island of new Zealand
